I had the roast beef sandwich. My son had the ribs. We both ate everything. Excellent service. Entire staff appeared very competent and effective. I was impressed.

Friendly service. Everything else was boring and bland. This place was so forgettable I wouldn't be surprised if I accidentally ate here again someday.

Service was bad, food had no flavor and took too long to come out. I definitely won't be coming back.

This is a restaurant we come to every couple months or so. The California Chicken Salad is a staple menu item we order. I recently tried the Salmon and Steak Combo For the first time and was very impressed. I did use my 20% off coupon, so that made it even better! :) I will be coming back to get this combo again!

A while ago I gave this place 5 stars for the great food and service that I received. This past Sunday, I talked my roommate and my boyfriend into going here for dinner after sadly realizing the place we wanted to go was closed. Since we hadn't planned on this last minute change, my boy friend was wearing pj bottoms and my roommate has dreads I was wearing blue jean shorts and a tank top. (Important I promise) First of all, if you get stuck with a waiter named Collin who has glasses, ask for a different waiter. We all ordered the 3 course dinner with soup or salad an entrée and a dessert. He couldn't keep track of who's order he was taking, we had to ask for refills each time we needed them and we had to ask for him to clear the empty plates from our table so we had elbow room to eat our meal. He didn't pay attention to our table at all after we asked him to remove plates. The service was bad. Lackluster at best. I paid for the whole meal which came out to about $50 cash. Our tip reflected our service. My boyfriend who was still upset with the service we received, called the restaurant to explain the service that we had just so that management could do something to fix it, because we really like this place. The person he spoke to knew exactly who we were because Collin had explained to the manager that we were rude. We were rude for asking for refills, asking to have plates removed, and correcting our orders. Whoever we spoke to then explained that we were rude, that their waiters work for their tips and we were wrong for stiffing him. Then they said "Yall are probably just some college punks looking for a free meal. Maybe if yall dressed nicer people would take your complaints seriously." Need I say more???? From 5 stars to -5 stars if I could give them! I have never been so insulted in my life! I paid $50 CASH for bad service, lackluster food, and 2 sense from whoever we spoke to on the phone. I will NEVER come back.

Ok- at 7:00 I waited about 15 minutes for a table. No problem- don't mind waiting at all. Once seated is where things went wrong. Waited about 10-15 minutes before our server came over, they were busy- so I can understand that- to a point. She was very brisk. My friend ordered and also asked for a cup of soup, only to be told a cup of soup can only be sold at lunch time -not at dinner time. Really?!?! I should have checked on this, but didn't. It took forever for our food to arrive- I'm talking at 8:30 our food arrived!! The food was very good, but the briskness of our server along with the overall frenzy of the place, coupled with the poor service just gets a one star rating. And why is the pot roast along with many other favs removed from the menu- if they are trying for a more upscale menu/environment, it's an epic fail.

We had 5 for lunch. 2 ordered the fish lunch special- they loved it. 2 others had salads-California salad with strawberries & Cobb salad. The Cobb salad was huge with lots of tomatoes, chicken, eggs , bacon & blue cheese. See the pictures. I had the soup which was some kind of creamy chicken- it wasn't that great-a few noodles & barely any chicken & it was too thick. The garden salad was fresh but mostly lettuce. Next time I will prob order the Cobb salad! The service was excellent.

Not! It was my day off, took the wife, we were seated quickly. The first thing that hit me was how hot it was in the place...Very uncomfortable. The expidter brought our food.not a word just slid the plates to each of us and walked off. Our poor server, Anglia something, was running around with her head cut off. We left her a great tip btw. Why do you have two greeters? Get one of them trained and get on some tables...As we were watching, another server walks by with a arm full of dishes. A fork falls off and hits the floor. One of the two greeters picked up the fork and left the small food pieces on the floor..right in front of us!!! Guess they will clean that up after the place closes....would I go back? Only if I want to eat at a denny's under a different name.

I just had the worst service I gave ever had in my entire life. First we wait 10 minutes for our waitress to even come talk to us and by that time we already knew what we wanted then we wait 10 minutes just to get our appetizer and still no drinks. We finish our appetizer and still no drinks. When she finally comes back we tell her we just want our order to go and our ticket. Well another 10 minutes go by and the manager comes and we tell him what happened and he says he will take care of out ticket. Well usually that means our whole meal is competed but no what does he do he cancels our order. So we get nothing. Fantstic. Never go to this place

Excellent service. It's actually the best service in town. Our waitress was awesome. The manager came to check on us and was very personable. I will defiantly be going back. Keep up the great work.

My fiancé and I ate here a few weeks ago after waiting fifteen minutes to being seated in an almost empty dining room at 6pm. The waiter was inattentive, rude, and it was a long wait before our meal arrived. We started with the Top Shelf Combo which included the spicy jack cheese wedges, overloaded potato skins, and chicken tenders. All of which were delicious. My fiancé, being from England, ordered the Fish and Chips to see how we did them here in America. He adored them, claiming that the cod was up to par and almost better than what he would have gotten back home. He got his food with only a ten minute wait. I, however, didn't get my order of the Hand-Breaded Catfish until fifteen minutes after he was served (so a 25 minute wait). The catfish was tender and flaky, though there was no crisp to the breading. It fell to bits when I went to cut it with my fork. Being from Louisiana, our fried catfish usually has some crunch to it. It wasn't quite what I expected. Finally, the waiter was one of the worst I've ever had to serve me. I've had multiple problems before due to my youthful appearance with not getting the respect I deserve as a customer, but after ordering a single glass of Moscato to go with my fish, he inspected my license twice and made a comment about how he was sure it was fake before regretfully serving me. When I went to pay for the meal, he made another comment about how he didn't blame my fiancé for "letting his woman pay for the meal" and that he was "lucky to have a sugar-mama to pay for him", which made my fiancé feel uncomfortable. As we were finally leaving the restaurant, my fiancé and I spotted the waiter and five other staff members smoking near the side door, pointing at us, and commenting to themselves. It upset us a lot and I dont think we will be returning

Food. Okay. Not the greatest, but close to target to buy hard liquor to have fun after half way decent food. Ask about the free pie.

Our server acted as if she were new and poorly trained. I never recieved a refill, I had to go get my own... my sides were cold as ice and my steak mediocre. Our soups came after our entrees and we had to box that up as well as our desserts. (The soups were ordered as an appetizer) this is the second bad experience we've had this establishment. Its a shame because we used to frequent this place.

Damnit Colin, where is my prime rib?!?! All my friends got their food and you just now tell me they don't have my steak? Now I'm hungry, unsatisfied with your service and my friends complained their food is unsatisfactory. I'm kind of glad you didn't have my steak so I wouldn't be as dissapointed either.

Food was excellent, 5 stars, service was terrible. We had to wait about 45 minutes to get our food and there were only 2 of us. We went at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Tuesday so its not like it was a peak time. Other than the wait it was great.

One of the best places for Americana dinner or even lunch. The pasta selection is always good and the Louisiana Sirloin is the best steak on the menu. They keep beer on tap and a fair selection at that. Their loyalty plan is one of the best in the business. If you go in, ask for Cameron. He's the best!

Yes, it's a chain. But this was one of the best places I've ever eaten. The service was top-notch, the food was hot and fresh and delicious and the prices were very reasonable. I wish we had this place in Houston...although my waistline is glad we don't! It's right across the street from the L'Auberge Casino so it was very convenient for that, if you don't want to eat at the casino and save a few bucks to gamble with. Our server was William and he was wonderful. I don't eat at too many high-end restaurants (I'm more of a beer and jeans type of date than heels and champagne) but this guy is hands down the best waiter I've ever encountered. It was like he just instinctively knew when you needed something, but he would stop by and check at other times. He had the right mix of being entertaining and personable without being too personal or cheesy. The food itself was fantastic. They serve these hot, fresh rolls that are so warm and fluffy. I can definitely see getting full on those yummy carbs! We also started off with the pepper jack fried cheese bites; what's better than fried cheese? Fried cheese with a kick! These had that....they were served with marinara sauce but William did offer to bring us some ranch if we wanted. Hubby ordered the 9 oz ribeye with fries and a side salad and while the salad was a little sad (just lettuce basically), he said the steak was one of the best steaks he's ever had. He said it was cooked perfectly (and he is very picky about his steak, as are most steak lovers, I think) and was flavorful, juicy and tender. I had the turkey burger with sweet potato fries (which were a little extra charge that William kindly let me know about....I love when you know upfront that something will be an extra charge). That was one of the BEST turkey burgers ever. It's hard to make a flavorful, juicy turkey burger as turkey in itself can be dry and tasteless, but O'Charley's sure knows the secret! And the sweet potato fries were perfect! Sweet and crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. I know, I know....going on and on about a turkey burger and sweet potato fries? Seriously one of the best meals EVER. They did have the 2 for $20 meal but there wasn't anything on there that appealed to me. Still, we barely spent $30 I think with the appetizer (before the tip), so it was definitely a great price for such a fantastic meal and service! If you're in the area, stop by and definitely ask for William's section! You won't be disappointed....in either the food or the service!

After horrible attempt to eat at Texas Roadhouse across 210 I came to O'charleys still wanting a steak. Bartender (cage I think) was on the ball and despite a full bar quickly took my order and provided a menu. I ordered a louisiana sirloin with baked potato and salad. Salad was there almost immediately along with hot rolls. Steak followed quickly was cooked perfectly and was excellent. Great meal all around. I would have given this a five star but the salad ends were brown. Othercthan that an overall enjoyable experience completely in contrast to Texas Roadhouse. See my review of them today also. And in my entire time at O charleys not one employee had a cell phone

Eh. Mediocre "TGI Fridays/Bennigans" type restaurant in Lake Charles. Varied and strange menu, with pretty much nothing healthy. We ordered chips & queso, and the chips were potato chips. WTF? That's just wrong. They were decent, but this is not how it is done. Tip: get the burrito not the tacos. The tacos are tiny. Though I guess healthier than the much larger burrito. Anyway, I wouldn't go there again if I had a choice.

I didn't know they served breakfast at O'Charleys, so I had been missing a treat. Super presentation and super food. Even got their fabulous rolls to snack on while waiting. Will DEFINITELY do this again!

We dined at the Lake Charles location for the first time last night. Our server was Meg. Promptly took our drink and appetizer orders. 20 minutes to get appetizer (bacon quesadillas). Another 20 minutes (now 40 total) to get our meals (9 oz. and 6 oz. top sirloin, both medium, both with loaded potato and broccoli. While waiting for our entrees, my husband observed the bartender in the kitchen throwing a roll at someone. When we got our food, the broccoli was covered in yellow spots, so we didn't even touch it. Smallest potatoes I've ever seen, yet still didn't have enough toppings to fill the potatoes. Larger steak was cooked correctly, smaller steak was still bleeding and raw. Nothing was seasoned. After we got our entrees, we never saw Meg again. We had to flag down the roll-throwing bartender to get our check so we could leave. Overall, our meals were bland, under-portioned, and poorly cooked. Meg was friendly, but later disappeared. And what my husband saw in the kitchen gave us further distrust of the food. A negative experience - I doubt we will return.

My daughter took me to lunch here for my birthday. Her favorite waiter (who always takes great care of us when we go there) wasn't working, but we were lucky enough to get a new guy, Kirby P. This guy was phenomenal! Will request a table in his section from now on. We did the lunch combo special (soup and sandwich) and it was great. We were pressed for time, so we thought we wouldn't be able to take them up on the free pie. Kirby insisted that we pick one anyway and brought them to us in a go-box. Highly recommend for lunch and will be back soon.

The bread is pretty good. Generally, the menu is ok. The steak is is good, but sometimes too salty. Service here is pretty good though. They have food runners and the manager checks up on the tables too. I left a necklace here by mistake (I opened a gift my husband just gave me and I left it in the seat by mistake), returned just a few minutes to retrieve it to find that it is GONE! It's a shock when you trust people to be honest. All they can say to me was that they'll call me if someone turns it in. :(

This was my first time eating here and I only stopped because I thought it was another place. I got a pleasant surprise because the food was delicious, I had the fried chicken breast drizzled with honey. I will definitely stop here again the next time I'm in Lake Charles.

Ate there tonight with family, 6 of us. The waitress was awesome! She was not over smothering but we never ran out of anything and she was more than willing to get things like mayo, sauces and so forth. The food was a little slow to get to us, but was well worth the wait. Everything was crispy, hot, moist, tender..whatever it was supposed to be. Steak cooked to perfection as well. Seafood Sampler (Daughter) -Perfectly cooked, crispy and fresh. Ate it all. NY Pizza Pasta (Son) -Very good, lots of it. Brought home left overs Bacon Burger (Myself) -Cooked the way I asked, fries were awesome. Little dry Steak & Ribs (Boyfriend) -Ate it all. Said steak was best he has had in a long time Plank Salmon (grandma) -Loved it, took home leftovers Regular Burger (grandpa) - Ended up with bacon on it, he did not seem to mind. :) Appetizer - Overloaded potato skins, very good. Crispy and hot. I probably would of spent more time eating those than the bacon burger :) They were really that good. Drinks: Tea (A little weak), Sodas, Son got a strawberry lemonade he ended up drinking three. I would assume he really liked those hah. Mixed drinks: grandma and I got 5 citrus margaritas. Ok those were yummy! You get free rolls and butter with your dinks while you wait. Nice and hot. (These are probably why my son could not eat most of his pasta haha. He loves bread) Atmosphere was nice. Not too loud, not overly quiet.

Came here once and was not impressed. This place would be like an Applebee's. So if that's what you want then come ahead and eat here.

Service at the bar is horrible. I waited over 30 min for my order. Still waiting as I write this review. Someone's order came out before mine and he showed up way after me. Of course he was pals with the inattentive bartender. This bartender is there every time I visit and I love sitting at the bar and I HATE HIS SERVICE!! He talks about how he's fed up with working there and even shares with his guests that he's hungover! There's no way to take one of those surveys because I'm never offered one but this guy deserves no tip!! Of course I tipped 15% and not my usual 20% or more. If I could give no stars I would. Ugggh!!

I recommend the prime rib pasta. Nice little kick with the horseradish sauce that's drizzled over it. Great service. Only 4 stars just because my booth seat was dirty.

Pulled in on a whim. Surprisingly good. First time I'd ever heard of this chain. Comparable to Chili's, Cheddar's, Applebee's in price. If they have the 2 for $20 deal, jump on it. Plenty of chow for cheap.

We are fans - we recently had dinner there. I had the best prime rib. It was absolutely perfect. We were sitting close to the kitchen and my wife was bothered by the grunge smell. We should have asked to be moved to another table.
